Amazing Beers and 3 Great Locations

The Baja Brewing Company opened its doors in 2007 and is the only Brew Pub and Microbrewery in the state of Baja California.  Born in the Baja, with a lot of hard work, a team of Colorado boys began creating new ale beers which were a hit from the start and it wasn’t long before they opened a second location.

There are now 3 locations for the Baja Brewing Company; on the roof top at Cabo Villas in Cabo San Lucas, in the Puerto Paraiso Mall, and just off Centro in San Jose del Cabo.

We first stumbled upon the Baja Brewing Company while wandering through the art district in San Jose del Cabo.  Half of the restaurant is an outside beer garden complete with a water wall and wood-fired pizza oven.  The other half feels like your walking into a Mexican version of “Cheers”, and yes, you will find some of the same friends there every night.

They have a nice selection of micro-brew beers on tap, the Baja Red Amber Ale being our favorite!  Their food is sourced locally and is skillfully prepared to order.  Try the Sizzling Arrachera Skewers: (Honey-soy marinated arrachera steak skewers with local colorful vegetables centered by creamy garlic-mashed potatoes).  We also recommend the Ahi Tuna Quesadillas: (Seared sesame crusted Ahi tuna slices cover cheddar / Monterey jack quesadillas. Served with guacamole, sour cream and salsa).

Jordan Gardenhire, the BBC’s restaurant guru and founder, sums up the menu as “international pub fare with a strong local influence.”

And save room for dessert if you can, their special carrot cake was delicious!

Open 7 days a week from noon till late with live music starting at 10pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday, you’ll want to put at least one of Baja Brewing’s three locations on your radar.
